Quality Teaching Staff provides permanent UK educational staff for international schools in the Middle East, from early years through to higher education.

Want to take your teaching experience abroad?

Teaching placements or contracts overseas are becoming increasingly popular, due to the excellent benefits these often provide. If you have at least two years’ classroom experience with a BEdor equivalent, why not consider teaching English curriculum subjects at international schools?

Quality Teaching Staff currently recruit for schools in the Middle East. (SAUDI ARABIA, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, KUWAIT, BAHRAIN, OMAN, QATAR, JORDAN)

The schools we work with in Middle East usually offer generous one and two-year contracts, which include:

  • Visa assistance
  • Return airfares
  • Tax-free salary
  • Furnished accommodation
  • Medical insurance
  • Professional development and career progression

What’s it like to live and work in the Middle East?

The education field in Middle East is highly valued and offers teachers from the UK lots of opportunities. There are, of course, a few cultural and practical differences that you should be aware of when considering working in the Middle East:

  • The working week starts on a Sunday and finishes on a Thursday, so your weekend is Friday and Saturday.
  • The working hours will vary – the international schools usually start much earlier in the morning and finish earlier in the afternoon, typically 7.30am – 2pm but this varies.
  • The education sector is divided into public and private education.
  • The private sector has four divisions: early childhood, schools, higher education and continuing education.
  • There is a large expat community in Middle East but, remember, you are in a different country with different laws and values, so do respect them.
